Trevarefabrikken was built in 1948, widely known for its handcrafted doors and stairs. It gave income to many fisherman and handcrafters living in Henningsvær. The carpentry closed its doors in 2010. For more than 60 years there has been a wide range of activities occupying the factory. Ranging from cod-liver oil production, shrimp peeling and the original carpentry. A great amount of history is still left to see within the walls and floors of this unique 1500 square meter concrete structure.
